The Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center (JSHC) is a non-profit organization that has been a pillar of the Northeast Florida community since 1949. Their primary mission is to ensure that every individual—regardless of age or ability to pay—has the tools to communicate effectively. The Jet Pull is Jacksonville's first-ever airplane pull fundraiser, hosted by the Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center (JSHC). Teams of 20–25 people compete to pull a real aircraft across the tarmac as fast as possible — all while raising funds to provide speech, language, hearing, and literacy services to children and adults in Northeast Florida. All proceeds support the Jacksonville Speech & Hearing Center, a nonprofit that has served the community for over 77 years. Funds raised help provide veterans' hearing and communication care, speech therapy for children and adults, hearing devices for seniors, and services for individuals who cannot afford care regardless of their financial circumstances.
