2025 Sea and Sky Air Show Frequently Asked Questions

Please Note: This information is subject to change without notice.

When is the 2025 Sea and Sky Air Show?

  • The air show takes place on Saturday, October 25, and Sunday, October 26, 2025.

  • The overall event is open from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

  • Air performances on both days will begin at 1:00 p.m.

  • All performers and event times are subject to change.

Where is the show located?

  • The 2025 Sea and Sky Air Show is held at Latham Plaza and Seawalk Pavilion, 75 1st Street North, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250. This is the main viewing area along the oceanfront, with plenty of space for spectators to enjoy the performances.

Does it cost anything to attend?

  • General admission to the Sea and Sky Air Show is free and open to the public. VIP Experience tickets are available for purchase on the event website while supplies last.

Where should I park? Is there handicap-accessible parking?

  • Parking at Jacksonville Beach is very limited. Official shuttle service is available from FSCJ South Campus and UNF Hicks Hall to the Ocean Beach Rescue Headquarters. Round-trip shuttle tickets cost $10 per person plus tax and fees, with children five and under riding free. Tickets can be purchased on-site, while capacity allows. VIP Experience tickets are not included with a shuttle pass.

  • Limited handicap-accessible parking is available on 1st Ave. N. between 2nd and 3rd Streets N. These spots are first-come, first-served. The Sea and Sky Air Show also offers ADA accessible public shuttle tickets for purchase. Shuttle availability is first-come, first-served, so arriving early is recommended.

Is the show different each day?

  • The aerial performances are the same on both Saturday and Sunday. Entertainment at the Seawalk Pavilion will vary each day, so there is plenty of fun to enjoy on both days.

What kind of payments are accepted at the event?

  • The Sea and Sky Air Show is cashless. All purchases, including VIP Experience tickets and shuttle passes, require a credit card.

May I bring lawn chairs or blankets?

  • Yes, feel free to bring your own lawn chairs or blankets. The Seawalk Pavilion lawn will be available for general public seating.

Can we bring pop up tents?

  • Pop up tents are only permitted on the beach, not on streets, Latham Plaza, or the Seawalk Pavilion. Beach umbrellas are recommended for shade, and please be considerate of other attendees.

Should I bring ear protection?

  • We strongly recommend bringing ear protection, such as earplugs or earmuffs, but it is not required. Jet aircraft can get very loud, so protective hearing gear can make your experience more comfortable.

Can I swim or surf in the ocean during the event?

  • Yes, swimming and surfing is allowed, but you cannot go beyond 300 feet from shore. Parasails are not permitted.

Can I play on the sand dunes?

  • No. Standing, walking, or playing on the sand dunes is prohibited. Sand dunes protect against storms and erosion and are essential for the preservation of the beach. Please use wooden dune crossovers to access the beach and do not stand or sit on the crossovers. Do not climb over temporary fencing or pick sea oats.
  • The City of Jacksonville Beach and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection ask spectators to help request that other attendees stay off the dunes. Please inform event staff, lifeguards, police officers, or security staff of any violations.

Can I watch the show from my boat?

  • Yes, but strict regulations are in place to protect everyone. The U.S. Coast Guard and Navy enforce a Naval Vessel Protection Zone. Boaters must operate at minimum speed within 500 yards of any U.S. Naval Vessel and follow instructions from the vessel’s Commanding Officers. Do not approach within 100 yards of any naval vessel. Violating the Naval Protection Zone is a felony, punishable by up to 6 years in prison or up to $250,000 in fines.

  • Safety zone boundaries are:

    • North: 1 Nautical Mile north of the pier. Boats must stay north of the buoy line.

    • South: 1.75 Nautical Miles south of the pier. Boats must stay north of the buoy line.

    • East: 0.75 Nautical Miles east of the end of the pier. Boats must stay east of the buoy line.

    • West: Along the beachfront.

  • Boaters should tune marine band radios to VHF-FM Channel 22A at 8:15 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. for further instructions. These details are subject to change according to U.S. Coast Guard regulations.

What happens if it rains?

  • The Sea and Sky Air Show happens rain or shine. If weather becomes unsafe, performances may be postponed or cancelled as determined by the Air Show Emergency Operations Command. Safety is the top priority. Evacuation announcements will be made if necessary, and real-time updates will be shared via official social media channels.
