YOU'RE INVITED Over the past two decades, ukulele sensation Jake Shimabukuro has proven there isn’t a style of music he can’t play. While versatility is impressive for any musician, what’s remarkable about Shimabukuro’s transcendent skill is how he explores his seemingly limitless musical vocabulary—whether it’s jazz, rock, blues, bluegrass, folk or even classical—on perhaps the unlikeliest of instruments: the ukulele. Responding to the urgent calls of his fervent imagination, the Hawai‘i-born virtuoso has taken the ukulele to places previously thought impossible. In the process, he has reinvented the possibilities of this tiny, once-underappreciated four-string instrument, prompting many to call him “the Jimi Hendrix of the ukulele.” WHEN Friday, November 14, 2025 Doors Open: 6:30PM Event Starts: 7:30PM WHERE WJCT Studios TICKETS $60 each This is a partnership of Florida Theatre on the Road and WJCT Public Media.
